Members of the Shoreditch Wizzie Wizzie Computer Coding Club attended the week-long Festival of Code 2015 organised by Young Rewired State this summer.
After four days of developing a coding project with the help of Digital Eagles, Barclays, Canary Wharf, the members went to Birmingham to enter the nationwide final.
Children aged from 8-18 presented their projects to judges, who then decided on the winners.
Members of our Club reached the semi-final with the project, ALlama – an alarm clock linked to live traffic and train information so it could ‘go off’ earlier or later depending on travel conditions.
The overall winners included projects to help make cycling safer and to help car drivers stop filling-up with the wrong sort of petrol.
